Manchester United are interested in Monaco defender Benoit Badiashile, according to reports in France.
The 18-year-old has been on the club’s radar for some time, but the Ligue One side are said to be demanding at least €35m (£31.5m) for the player.
Some fans on Twitter believe Badiashile could be a good signing for the club:
Definitely getting him imo. Ole just talked about young players that aren’t english, and this is the only one i’ve seen

Been poaching half of their academy.

I can see why we’re linked – although error prone, his distribution is rather impressive. However – I feel we should sign Harry Maguire and focus on developing Tuanzebe.

Others, though, are sceptical believing that United continue to be linked with bids that never materialise for players:

that’s player number 109 that mufc linked to this summer ⚠️

We aren’t going to sign him just sign Ruben Dias

Don’t believe it. Come to the conclusion that every football transfer in the world will be linked to United just to become relevant. Not other explanation on why 100 different players linked to Utd every year

We show an interest in a hell of alot of people!!!

Badiashile made his first-team debut in November. It was a baptism of fire for the teenager as he was selected to start against Paris Saint-Germain.
It was a chastening experience as Monaco were battered 4-0 at home. Still, the centre-half kept his place in the side and went on to make 26 appearances last season.
United are not the only team keen on Badiashile, with Valencia and Wolves also having expressed an interest in the defender in recent days.
