De Gea linked with shock move to Ligue 1 giants

Manchester United goalkeeper David Dea Gea has been linked with a shock move to Ligue 1 leaders Paris Saint Germain.

The Spaniard has been heavily linked with Real Madrid over the years, however it appears that PSG are now the favourites to land United’s prized asset.

PSG have turned their attentions to De Gea after their refusal to meet Atletico Madrid’s £88 million asking price for keeper Jan Oblak, and will now make the United star their number one priority this summer.

Don Balon also claim De Gea has already informed United he intends to move on in the summer, and could be keen on a move to the Parisian outfits to join forces with a number of the world’s best players, including Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

A move for De Gea would be expected to cost PSG around £60 million.

De Gea, who is yet to sign a contract extension at Old Trafford, has been coy on his future at United however, saying: “Just being part of this club is special in itself.

“Being a player and a part of this club is special, so when you get to wear the shirt, you go to away games, that’s something you are always proud of and is very special.

“Being part of such a great club like Manchester United fills you with emotion and you gradually realise how much the club means to the fans and the people who work here.

“They really live for the game, so that does become part of you and you can only appreciate that having spent time here.”
