“Could Be Available For Arsenal…” Journalist Confirms United May Unleash New 85M Signing This Weekend

Manchester United should have a work visa approved for Antony ahead of the weekend, according to The Guardian‘s Jamie Jackson.

The journalist says the Brazilian international won’t be involved against Leicester City on Thursday but he “could be available for Arsenal” when Erik ten Hag’s side host the Gunners at Old Trafford this Sunday:

At the time of writing, Antony hasn’t been officially announced as a United player, but he is expected to be the club’s fifth summer signing after Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen, Lisandro Martinez and Casemiro.

The Manchester club will pay an initial €95m (£81m) for the 22-year-old, with another €5m (£4m) in performance-related add-ons.

Considering Antony has skipped training a number of times over the last week in order to force through his move to United, it isn’t likely the winger will be ready to start against Arsenal but there is every chance that he will (at least) be named on the bench.
