‘Confirmed, Sancho Next’ ‘He’s Ours’ ‘Nailed On. Deal Already Done’ Fans Excited By Solskjaer’s Comments On United Target

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been questioned on whether there is any truth to reports that he had a meeting with Red Bull Salzburg striker Erling Haaland last week.

The Norwegian initially refused to comment on the story, but when pressed further on whether he had offered any advice to the 19-year-old about his future, Solskjaer replied:

“I don’t comment on them speculations so that’s it. He (Haaland) knows what he wants to do and he knows what he’s going to do. So I don’t have to give any advice to any other teams’ players.”

Many fans on Twitter have taken the response as meaning Haaland could be on his way to Old Trafford in the January transfer window:

Of course, Solskjaer could actually be suggesting that the teenager has made up his mind to go to another club, but his wry smile at the end of the reply may suggest otherwise.

Over 20 clubs are reportedly interested in Haaland, including the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal. It is not surprising considering the Norwegian forward has scored 28 goals in 22 appearances so far this campaign.
