Chelsea V Manchester United – FA Cup Fifth Round Team News And Predicted XI Plus Betting Odds

Manchester United interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would have been disappointed by the manner of the home loss to PSG on Tuesday.

The Norwegian’s first defeat in the job was going to have to come sometime, but he will want to ensure his side get back to winning ways against Chelsea in the FA Cup.

The Blues are in all sorts of trouble with manager Maurizio Sarri under intense pressure following the 6-0 away defeat to Manchester City last weekend.

They have proven to be stronger at home, though, having beaten City, Arsenal and drawn against both Liverpool and United in the league already this season.

United will go to Stamford Bridge with a number of injury concerns. Anthony Martial had to be taken off at half-time against PSG with a groin strain and is a major doubt for Monday.

Jesse Lingard was also substituted before the break after the forward pulled up with a hamstring injury. It could mean starts for both Romelu Lukaku and the out of form Alexis Sanchez.

Matteo Darmian is also ruled out with a knock, along with Marcos Rojo and captain Antonio Valencia who is still recovering his fitness following a muscular injury.

Chelsea have a number of players with minor injuries. Ruben Loftus-Cheek (back), Danny Drinkwater (tendon) and Gary Cahill (back) all were absent against City.

Out of the three, only Loftus-Cheek has featured for the first team under Sarri in recent months. Callum Hudson-Odoi should return following illness while Marco van Ginkel is still out with an ACL injury.

The bookies have Chelsea as very slight favourites for the cup tie. They are 23/20 with Unibet with United 13/5 to come out on top at Bet365. A draw after 120 minutes is best priced at 13/5 with BetVictor.

Manchester United’s Predicted XI To Face Chelsea:

De Gea, Young, Jones, Lindelof, Shaw, Herrera, Matic, Pogba, Rashford, Lukaku, Sanchez

Chelsea’s Predicted XI:

Kepa, Azpilicueta, Christensen, Rudiger, Emerson, Kante, Jorginho, Kovacic, Willian, Higuain, Hazard

Predicted Score – 2-1 to United
