Cristiano Ronaldo wowed Old Trafford during his 6 seasons playing for Manchester United having been bought by Sir Alex Ferguson for a bargain £12million from Sporting Lisbon after Carlos Queiroz and others had been waxing lyrically about the Portuguese winger.

Ronaldo scored 117 goals across the over 240 games he played for United and he won all he could while at Old Trafford including the Premier League title, FA Cup and Champions League amongst other pieces of silverware. After wanting to leave for Real Madrid at the end of the 2007-08 season, Sir Alex Ferguson eventually sold him to the Spanish giants in 2009 for a then world record fee of £80miilion. Ronaldo has gone on to even greater heights in the Spanish capital also winning La Liga and the Champions League amongst many other trophies. The Portuguese player has proved to either be the top footballer of his generation or the second best player of his generation depending on if you think Barca’s Lionel Messi is the better player.

In the almost 260 games he has appeared in for Real Madrid he has scored an unbelievable 313 goals which is pretty amazing no matter who you are.
