Manchester United midfielder Casemiro says he is excited about making more “history” during his time at the Red Devils but he knows that securing trophies won’t be easy.

The Brazilian believes that the likes of Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool (who all have well-established managers) will make it difficult for Erik ten Hag‘s side to be successful:

“When you arrive at a new club, you always dream of making history… especially if we see the greatness of this club. We know the history. But of course, I was aware of needing some time to adapt and of the rivals having a long-term plan before ours, like Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool. They all have managers that have been there for a while and, therefore, they have an advantage.”

Casemiro will be key if United are to regain their status as perennial title contenders. The defeat to the Gunners just over a week ago means finishing top this season is likely to be out of the question but the Manchester club are moving in the right direction.

Ten Hag has got his squad all on the same page, and it can only help to have someone with Casemiro’s winning mentality around the place.

Over the course of his illustrious career, the 30-year-old has won an incredible 19 trophies, and he is clearly keen to add to his collection.
