Bruno Fernandes Makes Decision Over Which Club He Wants To Join

Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes wants to join Tottenham, according to the Daily Mail. The Portuguese international has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United but he has told his club that he is keen on a switch to London.

Fernandes met with Sporting president Federico Varandas on Friday and during the meeting, he expressed his desire to join Spurs, with the hope that a deal can be thrashed out before the transfer deadline next week.

The 24-year-old has a €70m (£64m) price tag, and the figure has reportedly deterred United who are said to value the player at around half that figure.

Tottenham have sent a delegation to negotiate the transfer of Fernandes, but their first offer was well below Sporting’s valuation of the player.

It seems as, though, United have pulled out of the race for the Portuguese star, with their focus currently on getting a deal for Harry Maguire over the line.
