Greenwood has struggled somewhat during his second full season in United’s first team but there have been some good signs in recent weeks, with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer saying the player has now overcome a recent blip in form.
His potential for development, though, is hugely exciting and there is no doubt that he has the ability to become one of the top forwards in the Premier League if he can concentrate on improving his game.
Greenwood’s new contract should allow him to focus on becoming a consistent performer for the first team in the coming months and years.
