Manchester United legend Eric Cantona did not mince his words when asked who he’d prefer to win the Premier League title out of Manchester City and Liverpool.
The Frenchman made it clear that neither option for him was palatable:
Cantona: “Preference on Man City or Liverpool winning the league? Nobody. It’s like asking me if I’d prefer to have my teeth made of wood or my legs of sponge.” #mufc [Paddy Power]

Fans on Twitter thought Cantona’s response to the question was the work of a genius, although some did reveal their preference:

United can, of course, put a huge spanner in the works of Liverpool’s title challenge if they beat the Reds at Old Trafford tomorrow.
You can guarantee that the atmosphere will be absolutely electric as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side look to claim the three points from their fierce rivals.
With both Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard both winning their fitness battles to play, United will be confident of getting a result that could really stir things up at the top of the table.
In addition, they will also be hoping to cement their place in the top four and keep ahead of Arsenal and Chelsea.
