Brighton V Manchester United: Team News And Betting Odds

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would have been happy to get some of his squad players minutes in their legs during the 3-0 win against Luton in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night.

However, after last weekend’s shock home defeat to Crystal Palace in the league, they travel to Amex this weekend with a point to prove.

They will be facing a Brighton side who had a surprisingly comfortable away win against Newcastle last Sunday and Graham Potter’s side will be looking to build on that performance.

In terms of team news, Manchester United will be without Sergio Romero, Axel Tuanzebe (ankle) and Phil Jones (knee) but Solskjaer does not have any new fitness concerns ahead of the match versus the Seagulls.

Brighton have five injuries heading into the game. Aaron Connelly is a doubt due to a muscular problem, as is Tariq Lamptey who picked up a knock against Newcastle. Jose Izquierdo (knee), Christian Walton (ankle) and Florin Andone (knee) are all unavailable, while Yves Bissouma is suspended.

The bookies have made United the favourites with Betfred pricing them at 4/5 for the win. A draw is 11/4 with Sky Bet while a Brighton victory is 4/1 at William Hill.

Predicted Score – 2-1 to United
