BREAKING: DE GEA TO STAY AT MANCHESTER UNITED

David De Gea WILL be a Manchester United player next season following the news that Real Madrid will not appeal to FIFA about the goalkeepers deal. The Spanish ‘keeper looked certain to join Madrid yesterday after Manchester United accepted a £30m bid (£19m + Keylor Navas) for De Gea. Costa Rican goalkeeper Keylor Navas was set to join United as part of a swap deal – but it is now 100% confirmed that the deal is OFF and David De Gea will stay at Manchester United this summer at least.

In other news, goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard has sealed a move away from Manchester United and will join West Brom on a free transfer.

Victor Valdes is another goalkeeper with his future in huge doubt. Louis van Gaal confirmed in July that the former Barcelona No.1 would leave the club after apparently refusing to play for the U21s side towards the back end of last season. However, Valdes’ proposed loan move to Turkish club Besiktas has fallen through and he will now stay at Manchester United. The veteran backed this up last night by changing his cover photo on both Facebook and Twitter to a Manchester United badge.
