1. Ruud Van Nistelrooy – Manchester United Assistant Manager – 2/1

Erik Ten Hag’s assistant remains the strong favourite to take over at United as he is already in the club and knows the players well.

Van Nistelrooy joined in the summer as an assistant, but seeing as the new ownership didn’t want to commit to Ten Hag long-term, they may have had the possibility of his assistant taking over in the back of their minds.

Even if the Red Devils look elsewhere for an option long-term, Van Nistelrooy could likely become interim for some time.

2. Gareth Southgate – Former England Manager – 3/1

Southgate was strongly linked with the Manchester United job when he decided to quit as England manager, but it feels as though a quick turnaround into club management is not what he wants.

He left the England job due to the sheer amount of criticism that he got. Heading into a job at United would seem a strange decision as it can be one of if not the most criticised club management job in the world.
