Manchester United midfielder Fred was very impressive in the 3-1 win against Brighton yesterday. The Brazilian put in one of his best performances since his arrival at the club 18 months ago.
He took on a leadership role in the middle of the park, helping to set up the first goal whilst being consistent with his passing. The 26-year-old also unleashed a sweetly struck shot in the second half that Brighton keeper Matt Ryan tipped onto the bar.
With Fred finally showing why United paid £52m, fans on Twitter have been praising the midfielder:

Of course, there is still a way to go before he justifies the price tag, but there is a feeling that the Brazilian is finally getting to grips with the Premier League.
It appears the club’s injury crisis has actually benefitted Fred who has taken on the responsibility in the middle of the pitch with the likes of Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic absent.
Supporters will be hoping that his revival continues and he can build on his recent performances.
