Manchester United and Chelsea Women have both tabled “offers” to sign Stade de Reims midfielder Melchie Dumornay on a pre-contract agreement, according to BBC reporter Emma Sanders.

The journalist says there is “heavy interest” in the 19-year-old, with Manchester City and Lyon also weighing up bids for the player:

Dumornay would join United at the end of the season when her contract expires if she does accept the offer from the Red Devils, but there is still a chance that she may accept a move to another team during the January transfer window.

Reims are said to be open to selling the Haiti international this month if they receive a good enough fee. That means the likes of City and Lyon may still be able to steal the player away from United.

Dumornay has a growing reputation after making her way through the youth ranks. The teenager was named Goal‘s NxGN Women’s Player for 2022 early last year and she also received the CONCACAF W Championship best young player award in November.
