“Back To His Best” Roy Keane Praises United Star After Witnessing Upturn In Form

Manchester United legend Roy Keane thinks Marcus Rashford is now back performing to his highest level after a return to form over the past few weeks.

Both fans and pundits had been questioning the performances of the 22-year-old earlier in the season, but after scoring his seventh goal in his last eight games for club and country in England’s win over Montenegro yesterday, Keane was quick to praise the forward:

“He looks like he has got his confidence back, I think in the last month or so. And what players have to remember, when we’ve been criticising them before, there’s a compliment in there because we believe he’s a really good player. His confidence is up and running again and he looks back to his best.”

Rashford’s switch from being the main striker to playing on the left-wing has certainly helped him. The forward found it tough spearheading the attack on his own, and he looked very isolated playing as the number nine.

However, he has appeared much more comfortable out wide. With Anthony Martial leading the line, it has freed up Rashford to find space and run at defenders.

United fans will be hoping that this is not simply a purple patch but an indication of his level of performances for the rest of the season.
