Manchester United face a trip to Villa Park on Sunday afternoon to face an Aston Villa side who come off the back of a 1-0 win over Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
The Red Devils need three points after consecutive Premier League games without a win. They come off the back of a 3-3 draw with Porto in the Europa League where a 91st-minute equaliser from Harry Maguire rescued a point.
Erik Ten Hag has been under considerable pressure since last weekend’s 3-0 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford. The United boss could face the sack if results don’t improve.
With a draw on Thursday night, a loss against Villa could be the Dutchman’s last game in charge at Old Trafford. However, there were positives to take from the match against Porto as Marcus Rashford had one of his best games of the season.
Aston Villa meanwhile look like a force to be reckoned with as Unai Emery’s side has won three of their last four Premier League games with two Champions League victories added on.

Villa made narrow favourites at home against United
On paper, Sunday afternoon’s clash should be a game between two very evenly matched sides. However, Aston Villa have the home advantage and bags of momentum.
According to Oddschecker, Manchester United have a 32% chance of a win at 21/10 odds, whereas Aston Villa have been made favourites at 5/4.
A draw is backed at 39/14 as the bookies believe that Ten Hag’s side may struggle against one of the most in-form teams in the Premier League.
We predict a 2-2 draw away from home for United which, against a tough side like Villa, is not a bad result. But will it be enough to keep Ten Hag his job?
