‘Great News!’ ‘Don’t Rush Him Please’ Fans React As Man Utd Ace Is Tipped To Return From Injury “Ahead Of Schedule”

Manchester United winger Amad Diallo could return to training “ahead of schedule”, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The Ivorian was initially ruled out for the rest of the season with an ankle injury he sustained prior to the game against Tottenham in mid-February. However, Romano says that there is now optimism that Amad will be back at some point in May:

“Amad Diallo, progressing well in his recovery after injury and currently understood to be ahead of schedule. Manchester United staff cautious as they won’t take any risks… but there’s a real chance for Amad to be back on pitch before the end of the season, around May.”

Fans on X are keen to see Amad return to action, although some are hoping that the club are not rushing him back ahead of a potential Europa League final:

Amorim has hinted that the United star is making a speedy recovery

Speaking a few weeks ago, head coach Ruben Amorim said that he was hopeful of having Amad back “before” the end of the campaign.

Romano’s remarks seem to add further weight to the fact that the 22-year-old may not be far away from making his comeback.

Which games could Amad play in May?

United have four league fixtures that month with matches against Brentford, West Ham, Chelsea and Aston Villa.

There is also the possibility of featuring in the Europa League final on May 21st if the Red Devils can get past Lyon in the quarter-final as well as beating either Rangers or Athletic Bilbao in the semis.
