“Appointments Have Been Made…” Di Marzio Provides New Update On United’s Pursuit Of 34 Cap International Striker

Manchester United are expected to hold more talks with former Juventus forward Paulo Dybala, according to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.

The Italian reporter has written a story for the Corriere Della Sera in which he explains the striker’s situation. A switch to Inter Milan appears to be unlikely at the moment, and it has led to the player seeking talks with Premier League clubs:

“Contacts in the Premier League have been reactivated and appointments have been made in London (where United also has offices) in the next few hours.”

Arsenal and Newcastle have also been mentioned as other potential suitors in England but Di Marzio has suggested that United are the team likeliest to make a move for the Argentine, who has been capped 34 times by his country.

Whether that meeting in London will actually lead to the Red Devils stepping up their attempts to sign Dybala, we shall have to wait and see. Replacing Cristiano Ronaldo is something that is likely to be on the agenda, but manager Erik ten Hag is currently focused on recruiting in other areas of the pitch.

In addition to a midfielder, ten Hag is believed to be looking to snap up a centre-half and a right-back over the coming days and weeks.
