Antony, Martial And Lindelof To Start, Ronaldo And Sancho On The Bench: United’s Predicted XI To Face Fulham

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag would have been pleased with some aspects of the 4-2 win over Aston Villa on Thursday night.

While the first half was poor, there was a big improvement after the interval with a lot more pace and sharpness in the final third of the pitch. They will need to keep that going against Fulham this weekend.

David De Gea will come back into the side to start in goal, with Lisandro Martinez also being recalled to play alongside captain Harry Maguire in the centre of defence.

Ten Hag does have a dilemma at right-back, with Diogo Dalot Dalot suspended and Aaron Wan-Bissaka not fit, so Victor Lindelof may have to provide cover, with Luke Shaw on the opposite flank.

Casemiro, Christian Eriksen and Bruno Fernandes are likely to be the midfield three, with the likes of Scott McTominary, Fred and Donny van de Beek expected to be dropped.

Up front, Antony is said to be close to a return to full fitness so the Brazilian could take his place on the right wing, with Marcus Rashford on the left and Anthony Martial leading the line. Cristiano Ronaldo and Jadon Sancho have both suffered with illness so they may only be ready to take a place on the bench.
