Antonio Rudiger’s Move To United Expected To Hinge On Key Appointment

Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger will only consider a switch to Manchester United once he knows the identity of the club’s next manager, according to Bild journalist Christian Falk.

The German reporter, who isn’t always that reliable, claims that any move to Old Trafford is “difficult” and a transfer may hinge on who United appoint to replace Ralf Rangnick:

However, Falk does claim that Rudiger has still not made a decision on whether he will leave Chelsea this summer. He is waiting to see whether the ownership situation can be resolved before he chooses his next team.

The Blues face Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-finals next month and the centre-back has already decided to keep his options open until after the two legs are played.

Real, along with United and Juventus, are thought to be in contention to snap up Rudiger, but a move to Bayern Munich has been ruled out.
