Manchester United are planning to table a bid in the region of £80m for Tottenham striker Harry Kane, according to reports in the UK.
The England captain, who has scored 287 goals in his club career, is closing in on the final year of his contract at Spurs, and manager Erik ten Hag is believed to have made the forward a priority target.
While plenty of fans on Twitter would back an offer for Kane (especially at £80m), there are also some that are concerned over whether he would be a success at Old Trafford:

80m seems fair

Maybe the RVP signing of the Ten Hag era…might just do the job for the next 2-3 years, and get United a couple trophies along the way.
Good signing if it happens

Should be a Take-it-or-Leave it offer😤🤝 #MUFC

English players and £80m. Such a high amount for a player clocking 30 in a little bit.

Don't know how to feel about this. I feel like we'll be missing a lot if we don't bring Osimhen in

Kane is England’s all-time top scorer, and he is the third most prolific striker in Premier League history, so the chances of the deal not working out are very low.
For someone who is closing in on 30, though, he wouldn’t be someone you could build a team around for the long term, and that may yet lead United to consider alternatives.
