Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof has started 10 of the club’s 14 games so far this season, with the Swedish international seemingly settling into life at Old Trafford.
It hasn’t been all plain sailing this campaign, with his own goal and substitution in the 3-1 defeat to West Ham a notably poor game, but his performances against Juventus and Everton over the past week have given many cause for hope.
Fans on Twitter are certainly talking more positively about Lindelof:
lindelof is starting to show the player he can be, he's been an absolute rock the past few games #mufc

2 consecutive excellent performance from Lindelof. Forming a decent partnership with Smalling. Need that consistency of selection at the back to provide the foundation for our team.#MUFC

Performing well in a handful of games is, of course, not a large enough sample size to know whether he has finally turned a corner.
At 24 years of age, he should be beginning to mature as a defender, and while it can be hard to adapt to the pressure of playing for United, supporters are justified in expecting more from a player who cost €35m last summer.
It will be interesting to see whether Lindelof can now finally live up to his potential.
