Over 50% Of United Fans Want This Manager (NOT Pochettino) As Solskjaer’s Permanent Replacement

Ajax head coach Erik ten Hag is the number one choice among Manchester United supporters to become the club’s next permanent manager.

Man U News conducted a poll of fans, including high profiles names such as Mauricio Pochettino, Zinedine Zidane, Brendan Rodgers and Luis Enrique, but ten Hag came out on top with over 50% of the vote. (Press “view results” to see the vote breakdown)

Ten Hag was asked about the manager’s job at United after Sunday’s 5-0 win against RKC Waalwijk. The 51-year-old said he was focused on his job at Ajax but didn’t rule himself out of the running:

“I am focused on my team, we have a brilliant squad and we want to achieve a lot. The rest only distracts.”

Local media reports suggest the Dutchman is admired by some on United’s board but he is not believed to be the number one target currently. It is thought that Pochettino would likely be the priority, although a lot could happen between now and the summer when the final decision will be made on a permanent appointment.
