Alexis Sanchez Breaks His Silence On Man United Form

Alexis Sanchez has addressed his indifferent form since joining the Red-Devils in a massive January transfer which of course saw Henrik Mkhitaryan join the Gunners in a straight swap between the clubs.

Sanchez is reportedly earning a whopping £500k a week, a number which will have an impact on the budget manager Jose Mourinho gets to improve his squad this summer.

The Chilean striker really has been a major disappointment at United scoring 1 goal in 10 games and even being dropped to the bench for United’s win over Brighton in the FA Cup last weekend.

Sanchez was heavily linked with a move to Manchester City last summer and again this winter until United came in with a superior financial package. Chelsea too of course were also linked with the former Barcelona player last season when he was impressing with Arsenal.

Alexis is away on international duty with Chile at the moment despite his country missing out on the World Cup this summer. The striker chose to get more game time rather than a rest so it shows he is clearly committed to improving his form.

Obviously the player was feeling more comfortable speaking on home soil as he addressed his Manchester United spell so far:

“As I am self-demanding, I expected something better.

“After my arrival at United, it was hard to change everything very quickly. I even hesitated to come here [to Sweden, with the national team].

“I had asked permission to miss these games, but then I thought better and spoke with Claudio [Bravo] and told him that we should all be united.

“The change of club was something that was very abrupt – it was the first time I’ve changed clubs in January – but many things have happened in my life that are difficult.”

So it remains to be seen if a break in Chile on international duty reinvigorates Alexis Sanchez but United fans and the club itself will certainly be hoping so, as so much more is expected from the mega-talented Chilean hitman.
