Manchester United are interested in signing Leeds winger Raphinha, along with a number of other Premier League clubs, according to Sport.

The Catalan publication claims that the player’s agent, Deco, has “received several calls” from the Red Devils to enquire about his situation.

While it is believed that manager Erik ten Hag still favours a move for Raphinha’s fellow countryman Antony, United may yet make a bid for the Leeds star instead.

There are, though, a couple of major obstacles standing in the way of the Brazilian moving to Old Trafford. Firstly, the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham are also pursuing the winger so competition is fierce.

In addition, Deco has promised Barcelona that Raphinha will sign for them if they come up with the funds. At the moment, the La Liga club have failed to meet Leeds’ €65m (£56m) valuation so it remains to be seen how this issue will be resolved over the coming days and weeks.
