Erik Ten Hag’s Manchester United are set to take on AFC Bournemouth at the weekend – can the Red Devils hold on to their spot in the top four of the Premier League?
United have been on a poor run as of late, but they managed to stop the rot with a win over Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend. Can they repeat this against Gary O’Neil’s Cherries? The game is set to kick off at 3pm on Saturday afternoon at the Vitality Stadium.
Manchester United injury news
The Red Devils are set to be without Lisandro Martinez, Donny Van De Beek, Marcel Sabitzer, Tom Heaton and Phil Jones for their game against Bournemouth.
It’s not all bad news, however – both top goalscorer Marcus Rashford and industrious midfielder Scott McTominay are expected to be available for selection on Saturday afternoon.
The last time the two teams met
When Manchester United and Bournemouth last faced off in the Premier League, the Red Devils won by a score of 3-0 at Old Trafford. It was a comfortable outing for United – on the day, their goals were scored by Casemiro, Luke Shaw and Marcus Rashford. Can they repeat this in the reverse fixture, or will the Cherries spring a surprise?
