AC Milan Eyeing Move For United Star After Contract Talks Stall

AC Milan are interested in signing Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera, according to reports in Italy.

The Spaniard’s contract expires in the summer and he will be able to speak to the Rossoneri in January about a possible free transfer at the end of the campaign.

Milan are said to be keen on recruiting Herrera due to the low-cost nature of the deal and they are believed to be seriously considering an offer for the midfielder.

The 29-year-old is reportedly frustrated with the lack of progress in talks to extend his stay at Old Trafford. United triggered their option to keep the player for an extra year in November last year but contract negotiations appear to have hit an impasse since then.

Herrera has been at the Manchester club for four years, but he has started just one Premier League match this season under manager Jose Mourinho. Last campaign, he managed just 13 league starts, although he did play more regularly in the Champions League.
