Manchester United have entered the race to sign Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni, according to Manchester-based journalist Jonathan Shrager.
When providing an update on the Red Devils’ pursuit of Metz’s Pape Sarr, Shrager reported that the club are also keeping tabs on another Ligue One player:
As it stands, Pape Sarr appears much more likely to go to City than #MUFC, whilst Tchouaméni is a player who interests United

Tchouameni has been heavily linked with Chelsea throughout the summer, while Liverpool have also been mentioned as a potential suitor over the past week.
The 21-year-old had a strong season playing for Monaco, and is reportedly valued at around the €40m (£34m) mark, which is similar to the figure that Rennes are demanding for Eduardo Camavinga.
Both are young dynamic holding midfielders but Tchouameni may well be more open to a move to Old Trafford. Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said that he is happy with the squad he currently has but many feel a new addition in the middle of the park is needed.
Could Tchouameni be the subject of a bid from United before the transfer window closes? We shall have to wait and see.
