Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford was sent off for a headbutt on Burnley defender Phil Bardsley in the second half of the club’s 2-0 win at Turf Moor yesterday.
The 20-year-old apologised for actions on Twitter after the match:
Emotions got the better of me, I shouldn’t of reacted like that. Sorry to everyone at the club and all the fans #MUFC pic.twitter.com/6UWnxd4yYo

Luckily for Rashford, the sending off didn’t alter the course of the match. United were already 2-0 up at the time following two first-half goals from Romelu Lukaku, and despite having ten-man for the final 20 minutes, they saw off Sean Dyche’s side pretty comfortably.
The victory will ease pressure on Jose Mourinho following consecutive defeats to Brighton and Tottenham. He will be hoping to use the international break to reset things and change the mood around Old Trafford.
Next up is a trip to Vicarage Road to face Watford in a couple of weeks. It won’t be easy with the Hornets having kept their 100% record after coming from behind to beat Tottenham yesterday.
