Manchester United have rejected a €60m (£54m) bid from Inter Milan for Romelu Lukaku, according to multiple reports in the English media.
The offer is said to be well below the Red Devils’ asking price for the player, with the club looking to recoup the amount they paid Everton two years ago.
Many supporters on Twitter think that United are right to stand firm on their valuation:
they should stamp 100m price tag on him.Great ST, deserves some recognition.

Clubs try and sign players from United for next to nothing and yet hold us to ransom for crazy fees when we want to buy someone. Ridiculous tbh.

That’s very true yo 54 is disrespectful

In a market where Morata goes for £63m we should definitely be getting £80m+

They really think he is worth just 4 mil more than a 28 years old perisic. I’d rather he rot on the bench than sell to them for anything less than 70mil

Others, though, think the club should cut their losses and sell the player:
Sell now or you lose money, there is no place for ego here.

Lets get rid of him already

Lukaku has yet to play during preseason due to injury, but he has likely become unsettled due to the speculation surrounding his future.
Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte didn’t help matters by publicly stating yesterday that he wants to sign the 26-year-old.
However, Inter may need to sell Mauro Icardi first before being able to finance a bid that United would deem acceptable. The Argentine has been linked with a number of clubs after being frozen out at the San Siro.
