Manchester United were one of a number of Premier League clubs who sent scouts to watch Feyenoord captain Orkun Kokcu last week, according to reports in England.
The Turkish international has been in impressive form this season, spearheading Feyenoord’s title challenge, and he is also attracting interest from the likes of Tottenham, West Ham, Leicester, Brighton and Brentford.
Supporters on Twitter had a mixed reaction to the news that the Red Devils are tracking Kokcu, with some excited while others were less convinced:
Yes. Yes. 100% yes. I’ll drive him from the airport to carrington right now if he needs a lift

YEEEESSSSS!! We need technically secure players that are going to fit in a possession based style. Kokcu is the right profile.

I'd like for us to start to go for players like Kocku
Quality players who still have huge potentials instead of ready made would class players

Sabitzer surely better option but it depends on who we have as owners and the budget we have.

If we look at Kokcu’s numbers this season, it is clear to see why manager Erik ten Hag wants scouts keeping an eye on him. 12 goals and four assists in 38 appearances is a pretty decent return for a midfielder.
However, it should be pointed out that the 22-year-old has struggled to score recently. He hasn’t hit the back of the net in the league since January. It remains to been whether that will lead to United cooling their interest in Kokcu.
