5 Manchester United Players Out On Loan

Being one of the biggest football clubs in the world, some Manchester United players must rely on loan moves to get regular first team football. Today, we’ll be looking at 5 Manchester United players out on loan who may have a long term future at Old Trafford depending on how they perform.

We’ve picked out a varied bunch from the United depth chart who come from different parts of the world.

We’re looking at players in the Championship, La Liga and the Premier League – let’s dive in!

Dean Henderson

Dean Henderson is enjoying an excellent season at Nottingham Forest. While Forest may be struggling to keep themselves out of the relegation zone, Henderson is being regularly tested in the net – to his benefit.

The keeper is a full England international and will not be satisfied with being the Man United number two so what happens this season could dictate his United future.

He’s been brilliant for the Nottingham club, displaying no apparent weaknesses as a goalkeeper. With De Gea’s contract running out at the end of the season, would you like to see Henderson become United’s first choice ‘keeper?

Amad Diallo

Here’s someone who United fans are very excited about – Amad Diallo is currently on loan at Sunderland, where he’s having a solid Championship season after not really excelling at Rangers while on loan there last season.

Currently, he’s scored seven goals with one assist in 21 Championship games under respected manager Tony Mowbray including the winner vs Boro in the Teeside Derby.

The young Ivorian has made three appearances for United in the Premier League, managing to register an assist in that time. He’s got plenty of potential – will he fulfil it for United?

Hannibal Mejbri

The French born, Tunisian superstar Hannibal Mejbri is currently on loan in the Championship at Birmingham City.

However, given his exquisite technical ability, he may be better suited to the Premier League in the long term but he needs experience.

He’s yet to score a goal for the Blues this season, but he has notched up three assists. At just 20 years old, he has plenty of time to develop and grow.

Ethan Laird

On loan at QPR, Ethan Laird has long been knocking on the door for a chance in United’s first team. It won’t come this year, as he’s on a season-long loan – but he’s putting in some very strong and mature performances in for the Rs.

An attacking fullback by nature, Laird has one goal and two assists in the league for QPR this season.

Right back has been something of a problem position for United in the past few years – could Laird provide a long term solution and be the man Erik ten Hag looks to as his attacking right full-back down the road?

Alex Telles

Brazilian fullback Alex Telles underwhelmed somewhat upon his arrival at Manchester United. He was bought during Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s tenure as manager to provide competition to Luke Shaw.

However, he is now way down the pecking order in comparison to the England international after new boss Erik Ten Hag signed Dutchman Tyrell Malacia. Shaw has been very impressive in recent seasons cementing himself as United and England’s number one left-back.

This season, Telles is on loan at Sevilla. He’s been doing a modest job, notching up two assists in 13 La Liga games but after the amount of times Tyrell Malacia has played for United already it looks like the Brazilian Telles does not have a long term future with United.
