Manchester United forward Anthony Martial has been told that he can look for another club ahead of the January transfer window, according to reports in the UK.
The Frenchman is unlikely to get much game time following the arrival of Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer, and the Red Devils are believed to be prepared to let him leave for around £40m.
Supporters on Twitter are not surprised that Martial has effectively been put up for sale but some don’t feel he will attract suitors if United keep to their current asking price:
40M? we would be lucky if we got 25

Nobody is going to pay that 😕
Try 25 to 30 at best and pray 🙏— Abid Shadhin (@Shadhinmufc) September 22, 2021
20m down the drain….

Leeds offered 30m for Dan James

He's not gonna get enough game time with his recent performances so it's good for both parties tbh

Martial has had a difficult 18 months, to say the least. Many expected the France international to kick on after scoring 23 goals in the 2019/20 season, but his form and fitness has deserted him since then.
The striker has hit the back of the net just seven times since the beginning of last campaign, and he ended the season on the treatment table with a knee injury.
