33 Year Old Named As Main Alternative To Pochettino In United’s Search For Solskjaer Replacement

Manchester United are interested in appointing RB Leipzig head coach Julian Nagelsmann if they do decide to sack Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, according to ESPN.

The 33-year-old has reportedly impressed many key figures at Old Trafford who will be involved in the managerial recruitment process.

Nagelsmann’s ability to develop young talent, combined with the achievement of helping RB Leipzig reach the Champions League semi-finals last season, is believed to have pushed the German to the front of the queue as the club make their first move to find a potential replacement for Solskjaer.

Local media reports have claimed the Red Devils have already approached former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino’s representatives and it is thought it would be easier to appoint the Argentine, rather than Nagelsmann, as he is currently out of work.

Solskjaer is not expected to be relieved of his duties even if United lose to Everton tomorrow but it appears the club are prepared to make a change at the top if the club’s form continues to nosedive.
