Zlatan Confident United Will Make Title Charge

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is confident that his Manchester United team mates are finally coming together as a unit and could mount a challenge for the title over the festive period. Ibra signed for United from PSG last summer and has been a hitman in front of goal, scoring 14 goals so far this season – almost as many as top scorer from last term Anthony Martial who managed 17 goals.

At 35, Ibrahimovic has brought with him such a winning mentality to the team and has settled in as a sort of captain type figure. He has brought some invaluable experience with him and is certainly leaving his mark on the side for the future and recently gave an interview to MUTV.

The Swedish striker warned the Premier League that United are on their way up and will soon become a force in football once again.

“We are working hard, we have confidence, we believe in what we are doing, we work very hard for it and we will keep focused like we are at the moment.” said Zlatan.

“We have always had the belief and we keep getting more confidence from these games. We have been disappointed in some games, so let’s keep going like this and get the three points that we need to get closer to the top. When you win these games, they are the ones that give you a lot at the end of the season because it is not easy to play here [at Selhurst Park]. This was my first time. All of the guys said to me it would be a very difficult game and that was what it was.”

“It was going through my head, another draw where we are up 1-0 and they get 1-1. But we got the winning goal and that is the most important thing. Now we have closed the gap [on Arsenal following their defeat to Everton] even more and we have to keep like this.”

Let’s hope United can continue their fine form and mount a serious challenge for the title over the busy Christmas period. Players such as Zlatan will definitely have to show what they’re made of, and United will have to dig deep.
