Will United Continue With The Winning Formula From The CSKA Game?

Whether or not you think Louis Van Gaal succumbed to the pressure from the very vocal United fans and the hyper critical pundits and media or if you believe LVG conceived Tuesday night’s game plan to take down CSKA Moscow – the manager had the team playing a much faster brand of attacking football where the team always looked to move the ball forward and there were much less of the sideways and backwards passing which was fast becoming a staple of the possession, patience based football the side had been playing.

LVG had talked about his concerns regarding the lack of goals being scored by his side but also pointed out that he has the team with the best goals against in the Premier League and that is something to really build as Ander Herrera has agreed. The Spaniard came out on Thursday says that he is focusing on the side’s stellar defensive record which he believes can be the foundation of a serious Premier League challenge and subsequent win. That said it is clearly time for some of the attacking potential to emerge for United and let’s hope LVG sticks with the pro-active attacking style using the likes of the emerging Jesse Linguard which served him so well vs CSKA and a goal-scoring streak from the “in credit” Wayne Rooney would sure help as United face West Brom on Saturday afternoon – a team which has had its share of good results vs the Red Devils in recent times.

We expect a 3-1 win – what do you think?
