Things will definitely calm down by the end of the season after LVG’s situation is settled. Regardless of his status, transfers will happen but at least we might get a better chance of understanding what the club wants. Currently as most fans would point out, the club is missing a striker such as Benzema, Vardy, Giroud or Aguero. They are missing a no.9 who can become a Premier League top scorer. Unfortunately, Manchester might have that striker in their own back yard but they might be using him on a different position. Yes, we are talking about Martial who because of Rooney, is playing on the right wing instead of up front. Maybe there’s enough fire power in the attack but no maturity yet. If Depay, Lingard and Martial each focus on playing just one position, the attack can also incorporate Rooney as a second striker. You would have Lingard on the right, Depay on the left and Martial up front with Manchester’s captain supporting both the middle and the attack. If that were to happen then United could focus on other transfers such as the ones we are going to mention below.

1. Paul Pogba – not a great chance of being signed based on his previous spell at United– not sure if people are watching Serie that much to see how good this Frenchman is. Not only that he is a unique player because he can be both offensive and defensive throughout the entire match but he also looks like a true leader. That`s a lot considering the fact that he plays in a squad that has Buffon, Chiellini or Marchisio. Pogba would be a crucial signing for Manchester who do not have someone to lead the midfield. Sure some may argue that there’s Rooney, but he is more of a silent, hard-working player than a leader.
2. Riyad Mahrez – 50% chance of being signed – according to Metro, Leicester’s orchestrator could be moving to Old Trafford this summer. It`s hard to find a spot for him right now looking at the way the current lot looks like. The problem is that his form would definitely recommend him but then, what do you do with Mata, Herrera, Rooney, Januzaj or Lingard? Mahrez has a lot of freedom at Leicester and most importantly, has that perfect collaboration with Vardy, collaboration that only works in a 4-5-1 or 4-3-1-1 system that Manchester cannot implement right now given their structure.
3. Mathieu Debuchy – 80% chance of being signed – apparently the Frenchman was denied a move this winter but will push for a move in the summer. He is acquainted with the Premier League, he would give it his best to become part of the starting eleven and he does not come with an outrageous price tag. He looks like a good investment Manchester should consider due to the lack of options when it comes to the right-back position.
