Man United Vs Leicester City – Match Preview, Predicted Line-Ups & Prediction

Manchester United will be looking to build on their recent win over Leicester City in the Charity Shield where they won the season curtain raiser 2-1 thanks to goals from Lingard and Ibra’s late winner. All at Old Trafford will be looking for more of the same and carrying on from the midweek 3-1 win over Northampton.

The good news is that United are undeteated in their past seven home Premier League games against the Champions – winning 5 and drawing 2 while conceding a rather measly 4 goals in that period of games. Meanwhile the Foxes have only won one of their last 18 league trips to Old Trafford – drawing 5 and losing a pretty shocking 12 last claiming victory way back in January 1998 courtesy of a Tony Cottee winner.

Contrary to what many have written this week we do not definitely see Jose Mourinho benching Wayne Rooney – it just could just happen. We do think JM will make a number of changes however with Pogba to get a start in his favoured left midfield role and Herrera to get a game and perhaps interchange with Mata in the No. 10 position, so we see this line-up as the likely starting line-up for United as they face a tough encounter vs the Tinkerman’s side…

—————————-David De Gea—————————-

—–Valencia——-Bailly———-Smalling———–Blind——

—-Carrick——————-Herrera—————–Pogba———-

——Mata————-Ibrahimovic————-Rashford———–

Subs: Martial, Young, Rojo, Romero, Lingard, Fellaini

We see a repeat of the Charity Shield score with a 2-1 win to the Red-Devils.
