Is A £50m+ Bid Enough To Sign 21 Year Old Rising Star?

Manchester United are definitely looking for a new striker for next season. LVG is not only looking for reinforcements but also for first team players who can come to Old Trafford and shine as soon as this August when the Premier League is set to start. The most recent name linked to the Manchester side is Harry Kane. The 21 year old who increased his market value this season more than anyone had expected, might just be van Gaal’s next star striker. According to Metro, United are preparing a £50m bid for Tottenham’s attacker who is under contract with the Spurs until 2020. There is a chance of bringing the young prospect to Manchester if we take into consideration at least two major factors: the first is that Kane, despite being given a raise to extend his contract, is still earning a quarter of what Adebayor is making; the second factor is that Manchester United will definitely be engaged in the race for the Premier League title and for the Champions League. There is no way Tottenham can compete with that other than to force the player to stay due to his contractual duties.

The £50m bid could also contain additional benefits for Tottenham. Manchester could be willing to let Javier Hernandez, Nani or even Januzaj leave for Spurs in order to get Kane. Not sure if Januzaj should be let go in order to sign Kane but it would be nice to see the 21 year old England international start for Manchester United in the first Premier League game of the season.
